Mountain Valley Express in the Forefront of Environmental Regulatory Requirements |
|
On December 12, 2008, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) adopted the Truck and Bus regulation and the Heavy-Duty Diesel Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction regulation to significantly reduce emissions from existing on-road diesel vehicles operating in California. The regulation requires affected trucks and buses to meet performance requirements between 2011 and 2023. In order to ensure the successful implementation of the regulations the CARB staff has formed the Truck Regulation Advisory Committee (TRAC). The mission of the TRAC committee is to help shape the outreach, training, and implementation strategies and materials, and help CARB be more aware of the needs and opinions of affected stakeholders such as Mountain Valley Express.
Dan Souza has remained diligently involved in all issues regarding CARB regulations and is not only a voice for Mountain Valley Express, but for the transportation industry as a whole. "Mountain Valley Express has always been in the forefront of all Environmental Regulatory Requirements placed on our Industry in the State of California. As members of the California Trucking Association we understand the value of participation and have been very heavily involved in the rule making process up to this point. It only made since to try and become a part of the implementation process so as to better represent our Company, Association and Industry." The first TRAC meeting will be held from 10 am to 4 pm on September 1, 2009. |
